BASF develops special polymers

recently, BASF Germany established a special polymer division to focus on developing special polymers such as Luran s ASA, terblend N and terlux transparent ABS. The business unit is part of BASF's styrene polymer business group. Its goal is to combine the advantages of large-scale production and rapid market response

John Feynman, who is in charge of the plastic and fiber business of BASF, recalled that Mr. oil pump or oil motor pointed out that after the establishment of the business unit, it will be committed to establishing and strengthening its relevant businesses to make it reach a world-class scale. The urgent task is to speed up the development and application of Luran s, an acrylonitrile/styrene/acrylonitrile copolymer (ASA) suitable for the automotive field. BASF hopes to apply this plastic to the construction industry where the market share of PPS materials is expected to reach 30% in 2018, such as doors and windows, rain gutters, roof tiles and other products with many color difference factors. Terblend n is a polyamide/abs alloy, which BASF says is the most suitable material to replace pc/abs alloy, and terlux is the transparent ABS produced by the company
